Aloe Vera

ALOE VERA

Aloe Vera is a thick, short stemmed plant that stores water in its leaves. Studies have shown that the gel from aloe vera accelerated the healing of mouth ulcers and reduced the pain associated with them. Aloe Vera can come in various forms, including a topical gel or ointment, in raw form or it can even be consumed as a liquid. Aloe vera is a safe remedy with few known side effects. Before using any treatment method, a person should always consult their physician. It belongs to the family of succulent plants in the genus ‘Aloe’. It grows best in warm and dry climates and can easily be grown both indoors and outdoors. Because of its fleshy leaves, it should be protected from frost and extreme cold temperatures. Aloe Vera produces new pups (baby aloe plants) around the base of the mother plant and can be removed and repotted if the pot is becoming overcrowded. Aloe likes to be crowded so dont remove unless its spilling over. Make sure your soil is well draining and dryer as it only needs minimal water a few times a week.

I wonder if that would, also, be beneficial for dry mouth from Sjogren's Disease 😁
